ART WORKS from exhibition at the Art House Libya. A vibrant mix of large dramatic paintings in oil and serene rural images in watercolour and ink. Felicity is captivated by the history and culture of the Libyan people. Her watercolour washes are done on site and are the essence of her large oil paintings.
Leptis Magna, Libya.
Felicity enriches the sensitive watercolour drawings through providing an etched effect by using a fluid gel pen to define the detail.
The A4 sized drawings will take between 4 to 5 hours to complete producing a flavoured enrichment of colour and semi realism.
Berber Grainery, Libya.
Felicity strives to capture the ancient ruins of Libya to porpray the vibrant life that existed thousands of years before hand.
The Exhibition at the Art House, Libya was a resounding success with Felicity selling many of the landscapes that illustrated the way of life centuries beforehand
An ancient pathway, or fallen column creates an atmosphere that Felicity immediately must record in her sketchbook. The drawings are done rapidly on site and laboured over for hours later, filling in every detail to give the viewer as much detail as possible how life was eons ago.
